Asbestos Management Plan

If asbestos is present, an Asbestos Management Plan (AMP) should be documented.

If asbestos containing materials (ACMs) are present or presumed in the workplace, in addition to the Asbestos Register, an Asbestos Management Plan (AMP) must be documented.

The AMP must be readily available to anyone who has worked, or intends to work at the site; health and safety representatives; or anyone conducting a business at the site who requires, or may require, work to be carried out at the workplace.

For the purposes of managing asbestos exposure risks, the AMP should clearly set out what will be done, when, how, and by whom.
